Heden will be open during the first edition of the Museum Night The Hague on Saturday 4 September, with an exclusive preview of the exhibition of Linda Arts & Kristina Schuldt. The programme includes a continuous video of animation films made by Hague students. They made the animations under supervision of artist Martin Putto. Heden shows an overview of very humorous, and cleverly made film clips which were made up during the past two school years as part of the education programme of Heden and Stroom.
Art rental
Heden’s art rental is, of course, also open! If you decide to subscribe during the Museum Night you can choose from one of Heden’s publications for free.
Music
During the Museum Night the Hague musician Dorien Meijsing will perform at Heden three times: 8.30pm, 10.00pm, and 12 midnight. Dorien Meijsing is well-known, among other things, for the Hague garage/thrash band Tiger String Ensemble. During the Museum Night her performance will be a totally different one: she uses a musical box. Dorien composes tunes for the musical box and then creates her own punch cards. They result in intimate miniatures which evoke a fairy-tale, melancholic, and above all, a nocturnal sphere.
Further down… There is a Masked Ball at Museum Escher at the Palace which starts at 9.00pm.
